The objective of the property has been the same since its creation : to improve our production processes to offer our customers superior quality wines in all circumstances. The managers of our farm, Eric and Sophie, welcome you with pleasure to Landerrouat, to help you to discover the extent of their vineyard. We are also available to organize with you a tasting of our different wines.
Château Barrail-Laussac : the legacy
The plots of Chateau BARRAIL-LAUSSAC are located on Landerrouat, near Chateau Franc Couplet. The terroir, essentially clay-limestone, allows us to produce light, supple and fruity wines that will delight all lovers of exceptional Bordeaux wines.
This vineyard is now vinified in our cellar, since Albert, Sophie's uncle, retired. Thus, each of the managers brought to the common vineyard a part of his family history.

Rendement : rendement de 55 hl / ha.

Cépages : 80 % Merlot, 10 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 % Cabernet Franc, Vignes de 15 ans en moyenne.

Viticulture : taille courte ; enherbement naturel maîtrisé ; augmentation de la hauteur de palissage ; effeuillage systématique côté levant ; traitements maîtrisés et réfléchis ; utilisation précoce du système d’analyses des baies pour raisonner les dates de récoltes.

Vinification : éraflage systématique ; macération pré-fermentaire à froid (3-4 jours) et cuvaison d’environ 5 semaines selon la qualité et les dégustations régulières ; micro-oxygénation sous marc.
