With a rich family history, the Chateau Franc Couplet estate offers you refined wines, resulting from the intense annual work of our entire team, in collaboration with our experienced oenologist. Here it all started!
The grapes vinified for Chateau Franc Couplet come from most of the plots of our estate and we know every corner by heart.
This wine bears the name of our family, and is in our image : authentic and whole.
Vinified with great care, attention and patience, the wines of Chateau Franc Couplet are regularly awarded prizes in the various competitions in which we participate each year (for example in Paris, Bordeaux and Blaye). Proud of our know-how and our traditions, the medals we win offer our customers an additional guarantee of quality.
Available in Bordeaux or Bordeaux Supérieur, these wines are round with notes of fresh fruit.
Caractéristiques

Surface : 80 hectares.

Rendement : rendement de 55 hl / ha.

Terroir : argilo-calcaire, et argilo-limoneux.

Cépages : 60 % Merlot, 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 % Cabernet Franc, Vignes de 20 ans en moyenne.

Viticulture : taille courte ; enherbement naturel maîtrisé ; augmentation de la hauteur de palissage ; effeuillage systématique côté levant ; traitements maîtrisés et réfléchis ; utilisation précoce du système d’analyses des baies pour raisonner les dates de récoltes.

Vinification : éraflage systématique ; macération pré-fermentaire à froid (3-4 jours) et cuvaison d’environ 5 semaines selon la qualité et les dégustations régulières ; micro-oxygénation sous marc.

Élevage : en cuves inox, et ensuite pendant 12 mois en barriques, pour une partie de la production.
